8 Ways to Access the Chisha-Foka Multi-Use Trail

Located at milepost 102.4, this area offers convenient parking for easy access to Ridgeland’s Chisha Foka Multi-Use Trail, which runs alongside the Natchez Trace Parkway near the Barnett Reservoir. The field next to the historic park cabin provides stunning views, perfect for family photos framed by vibrant wildflowers and seasonal foliage. This scenic path is ideal for walking, jogging, and biking, and it is pet-friendly, making it a great spot to enjoy Ridgeland's outdoors!

Located just across the road from the beautiful waters of the Barnett Reservoir sits the Rice Road Trailhead Pavilion. This is a convenient access point for you to fill up on water with the available drinking fountains or fuel up your bike with air using the repair station.

While you're becoming one with nature, let your artistic side shine through. Brashears Stand (milepost 104.5) is a historic trailhead featuring a boardwalk that leads to the current residents of the Bill Waller Craft Center. The Craft Center features more than 400 leading artists from Mississippi and across the southeast.

This access point is where you're sure to have some recreational fun. Located directly across the street is Old Trace Park, a large and grassy area providing pavilions, picnic tables and restrooms.

Play some disc golf on the 18 basket course, walk along the beautiful Reservoir waters or take your furry friend to the fenced in Dog Park. You'll also find the Ridgeland Recreation Center here for more information on the area.

Getting hungry? Choose from three of Ridgeland's signature dining spots:

• Pelican Cove Grill - located next door to the Main Harbor Store Marina, this restaurant features a lively back deck and a boating dock. With cool drinks, good eats, big screen TVs and live music, Pelican Cove is the place to be
• Crabs Seafood Shack - an established restaurant with a brand new location overlooking the Rez! This local-favorite gives all the beach vibes with tropical cocktails and a full seafood menu
• Cock of the Walk - try their famous golden fried catfish amidst a fun-filled, laid back atmosphere. Need a little relaxation along the way? The Reservoir Overlook (milepost 105.6) is an ideal spot to access the trail. Set up a hammock or lay out a blanket while taking in the wondrous, landscape views of the Barnett Reservoir.

Step back in time to the classic, brick-paved roads of The Railroad District. This access point comes out near the Ridgeland Water Tower and brings you into a world of southern charm and simplicity. Stop by Whirl Natural Smoothie Bar for a healthy, organic smoothie. Need a bike? Head over to The Bike Crossing to choose from a wide range of high-quality bikes inside the shop, or rent one for the day from the Ridgeland Bikeshare rack out front. Need new running shoes? Fleet Feet is located just down the street and offers custom fitting.

This area also features gift shops, boutiques, delicious dining options such as Krilaki's and Ely's Restaurant & Bar + more!

Looking for a little wanderlust? This access point is located near the Ridgeland Wildflower Field, an area featuring pathways among alluring wildflowers. Benches are available for resting to take in the beauty.

For a quick bite to eat, you'll find Olde Town Station Deli located inside the nearby gas station with restrooms available.

This access point sits among Ridgeland's most bustling area. Highland Colony Parkway runs vertically and features two outdoor shopping districts (north of access point):

• Renaissance at Colony Park - open-air with a distinctive Lifestyle Main Street concept, this area goes beyond shopping, dining and entertainment, relying heavily on European and Mediterranean architecture and amenities to create a unique experience. The Ridgeland Visitors Center is also located directly across from Zea Rotisserie & Bar!
• Township at Colony Park - a vibrant mix of high-end shopping, hotels, dining and living spaces, The Township was developed from New Urbanism and Traditional concepts. Walk along the scenic lakes or enjoy a drink on the Anjou patio, overlooking the water
